Holy See Flag

The Holy See refers to the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Catholic Church in Rome. While the Holy See and the Vatican are different entities and actually have a slightly varying coat of arms, they are often grouped together. For that reason, we present our stunning Flag of the Holy See, based on the classic design that has undergone many revisions over a long period of time. This flag was adopted as the official Flag of the Holy See in 1929, when the Vatican and Italy signed the Lateran Treaty.

The Holy See is responsible for the governmental matters of the Vatican and speaks and acts for the whole of the Vatican church. It also maintains important diplomatic relations and manages an incredible amount of regional and foreign assets.
