This Maritime Signal Flag is a unique collection of the various nautical flags that are used by ships to communicate with one another. They are used by each country’s navy but are also used during boat races. Many of these flags have their roots in hundreds and sometimes thousands of years of maritime history.
This flag has the phrase Maritime Signal Flags on the top of the flag, along with the full phonetic alphabet and all the corresponding flag. Each flag has a different meaning, ranging from ‘help’ to I’ve got a diver on board, and are still in use today. It also includes numeral pennants and repeaters, which is a different type of flag. The background, which is visible behind the various nautical flags is a map of the world, with in the bottom right corner, a small ship symbol.
