This is the most popular Transgender Flag and is based on the original design by Monica Helms. It was first shown at a Pride Parade in Phoenix, Arizona in 2000. The Transgender Flag is often used to raise awareness of Transgender People, at events such as the Transgender Awareness Week or on the Transgender Day of Remembrance.

The Transgender Flag is made up of five horizontal stripes: two light blue, two pink and one white in the centre. Monica Helms herself describes the pattern and the representation of the colours in the following way:

?The stripes at the top and bottom of the Transgender Flag are light blue, the traditional colour for baby boys. The stripes next to them are pink, the traditional colour for baby girls. The stripe in the middle is white, for those who are intersex, transitioning or consider themselves having a neutral or undefined gender. The pattern is such that no matter which way you fly the Transgender Flag, it is always correct, signifying us finding correctness in our lives.

The Transgender Flag is an important symbol in highlighting the diversity and the rights of transgender individuals and is an important visualization of transgender organizations and groups. It is also a fantastic way to showcase your support and pride during parades, marches, sports games, political gatherings, and other public events.
