This day marks the end of World War One on the 11th day, of November at 11am in 1918. The Remembrance Day bunting depicts a soldier and poppies.
There is a Remembrance Sunday each year that falls on the second Sunday in November and is marked all across the UK and abroad. On this day, a 2-minute silence is held to remember the soldiers that lost their lives in the war.
Remembrance Day ceremonies are held at war memorials, churches and cenotaphs throughout the entire of the UK as well as abroad. The Royal Family and top politicians go to The Cenotaph in the Whitehall in London for the remembrance memorial service.
