This 5’x’3 Coventry flag has been designed in celebration of the city and it’s all its recent history. As Coventry City gets ready to be 2021’s city of culture, they have designed their very own flag showing off two important parts of the city’s history. Created using colours of blue and white and featuring the symbol of Lady Godiva, The flag measures 5’x3′ and is made from 100% polyester. Making this unique design ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

This Coventry flag would be well suited for the upcoming city of culture celebrations. But it would also be perfect for flying high in the crowds while celebrating at the annual Godiva Music Festival or even Coventry’s Festival of Running.

Symbols & Colours

The Coventry flag was the winner of a competition run by BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. The design featured Coventry’s famous heroine, Lady Godiva, who represents the city’s ancient heritage together with the strong principles of its people. She is placed int the centre of the flag against a bright white background.

The Coventry Flag is made up a blue and white striped design, with both colours resembling the historic meaning of the City’s past. The white represents the modern history of Coventry as a city of peace. The bold white stripe has contrasted either side of the flag with two pale blue blocks of colour. The colour blue recalls the sporting colour of the city and the Coventry Blue dye used in the historic textile industry.
